Greetings:

On this same note, our institution must build a barn to house vintage
tractors and some other farm equipment.  there has been extensive discussion
on what to do -- as a curator, I would want an environmentally controlled
facility with security, some extra storage, proper lighting, the whole nine
yards -- but it won't be in the cards.  Suggestions have ranged from moving
and renovating an old barn that belonged to a member of the group we
interpret (the Schwenkfelders, a Pennsylvania German Protestant sect) or a
pole barn, to a new barn.  Whatever it is, I'm not going to get climate
control!  Does anybody have suggestions, or has anybody built such a barn?
It will need to be usable from a practical standpoint - servicing farm
equipment that is still in working order -- and as an exhibit area.
