Hi Anne,

The "brutal snipping," as you've dubbed it, takes two short phrases
completely out of context.

Terri's implication (intentional or not) is that learning disabilities
do not exist; rather, teaching methods are successful or unsuccessful.
My point -- rather clearly stated, I believe -- is that learning
disabilities are real, and that sometimes teaching method matters squat
if the ability or interest of the student (or visitor in our case) is
impaired.  Clearly, these two positions are not representative of "the
same wavelength."

So, this would seem to be a case of either miscommunication or
miscomprehension?
