The Japanese American National Museum seeks a full-time Collections Manager
to oversee the daily operations of the National Museum's Collections Unit
with responsibility for developing and implementing policies and procedures
related to collections management; staff and volunteer supervision; budget;
registrarial functions; artifact loan program; artifact care and handling;
preservation and storage of artifacts; assisting in grant writing and
administering collections related grant projects; and administration of the
collections management system, Questor's ARGUS. Qualifications: MA in Museum
Studies, or related field and 2 years experience; thorough understanding of
museum registration and collections management practices; prior supervisory
experience; prior experience with ethnic history/culture collections and
community based organizations a plus. Competitive salary and full benefits.
