I would like to see salary ranges posted on job announcements for the
reasons already listed. I had an unsuccessful debate with our Board of
Directors on that very subject. They felt it was not professional. I find
a quick phone call or e-mail will answer the question for me when I see an
interesting post. I then know if it's worth my time (and that of the
advertiser)to send a resume.

It always surprises me how quick to judge some of the people responding to
the List seem to be. I like the discussion and exchange of differing ideas,
but I cringe when venom is sprayed.
