Ironically, I recently spoke to a director friend of a museum who was
surprised at how few applications there were for a position opening for an
educator. So I encourage you keep an open mind and go for it. Try not to
approach your search with a negative mindset. In some ways, I think the
original poster of this thread will have more difficulties because of his
rich experience and qualifications.
