For Mz. Nights and all others with a fascination with "the loo", I've dug
up a link to a paper that was originally presented at ... the International
Symposium on Public Toilets held in Hong Kong.

It has been published on a website that offers the following reflection -
"When you consider the contributions that plumbing and sanitation makes to
the quality of our lives, then much of the other things that we do just
seems so much less significant."

Here's the link:
http://www.plumbingmart.com/toilethistoryindia.html

I particularly enjoyed the "highlights in the evolution in toilets from
2,500 B.C to 1990.". And I'm happy to share my enthusiasm with the group.

And ... in case you missed it, I featured the Sulabh International Museum
of Toilets on my site a few months back. It's now been archived in the
"unusual museums" section of museumstuff.com, along with some "virtual
museums" dedicated to similar topics.

What .. would Freud have to say about all this?
