Re: Oil Heritage Museums

Two museums that deals with the oil industry are the Drake Well Museum in
Titusville, Pennsylvania and the oil and gas museum in Parkersburg, West
Virginia. I also seem to recall passing a sign for a similar museum in
Texas. (Makes sense)

You might also consider contacting some of the American oil companies as
they might very well finance their own corporate museums.

Subject: Oil Heritage Museums

Hi Folks,

We recently began a project doing a feasibility study and interpretive needs
assessment for a new proposed Oil Heritage Museum and Resource Center in
Illinois. I am doing some research now on other Oil industry related
museums: subject covered, visitation, market groups, etc. If you know of
any
Oil Industry Related Museums or Interpretive Centers in the US or Canada,
who
would be willing to share information with us, I would love to get in touch
with them.

Cheers
