Like mny other responces, this one isn't quite on target, but you may want
to look at the National Endowment for the Humanities Web site. They are
doing a project where people have an opportunity to share their family
stories on the web. They also provide school project ideas and other
resources for people researching their family trees and interested in
learning about their communities. It also provides links to web sites for
educators who want to do projects for different age groups--including high
school students. Looking through those links, you may come across community
projects that are of interest to you. To go directly to the project site,
go to http://www.myhistory.org/

Good luck.
