Hi,

If you haven't already seen it, there's an article about the strike in
today's (Sunday - 7-9-00 / Metro Section) NYTimes that's more favorable
than
the previous ones. Check it out!

This week's schedule thus far:

Wednesday (12th), 12 noon - 2 pm: trustee picket (Agnes Gund / 53rd
St.).
Extra volunteers on the picket line are needed.

Thursday (13th), 6 pm - Community Board meeting at F.I.T. (Bldg. A)
They'll
be taking "testimony" from the public on MoMA's building project. We
need a
crowd.

Next week's special event is a biggie - Tuesday, 7/18, 6 - 8 pm,
Proskauer Rose (corporate counsel for MoMA, NYPL, NYU, et al.) will have
a
reception at the Museum. We need everyone on the line for that one.

Please help spread the word to those without email.
>
Thanks. Maida

P.S. Please let everyone know we welcome any extra picketers who can
come.
Friday starts our 12th week out on 53rd St. with no sign of any interest
from the Museum in bargaining. As we like to tell folks, What's
disgusting?
  Union busting!!!
