I fully agree with Nicholas in mentioning public history. And I wanted to
let you know that you can contact the National Council on Public History at
http://www.iupui.edu/~ncph/. This site has links to all the public history
programs around the US. I've found this degree to be somewhat more flexible
then a museum studies degree. (just my opinion.)
