Personally, I survive on boxed Macaroni and Cheese usually about the same
price as Ramen but less salty. I chop every other little scrap I have into
the mix. So far I haven't seen a Macaroni and Cheese museum but I'm
looking!

I like the "dry" (non-soup) preparation:
cook the noodles, then strain out the water. Sprinkle about half the flavor
packet on the noodles (make sure you stir the noodles around before eating).

Oriental & chicken are tops. For added protein (while on a budget),
scramble an egg in the bottom of the bowl before you pour in the noodles &
broth. This makes a sort of "soup-drop egg" (as opposed to egg-drop soup).

In an effort to focus on a more significant discussion . . .
I prefer the oriental flavor over beef chicken OR shrimp.
My three kids believe ramen is one of the essential food groups.
