The Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice has a wonderful international
internship program for graduate students, and undergraduates alike.  The
program is open to mostly students of art and art history who are between the
ages of 20 and 30.  I participated last summer for two months and it was one
of the most wonderful experiences of my life: working and living in Venice.
You can work for 1, 2, or 3 months and the program is year round.  You must
apply by December, however, for a position the following year. I highly
recommend looking into this program.
