Art history and fine arts are a good combination, especially if you
dream of teaching. Arbitrary divisions sound very 50's. As a painter,
art history people tell me they envy me doing what they wish they could
do. I wonder if they secretly feel they are intellectually superior. If
so, they'd better go back to school and find out about the intellectual
lives of the artists they study. Do what you want.
Good luck,
Mary
