(Orensanz Foundation for the Arts ) on New York's Lower East Side, and
click on programs or events or exhibitions. The building was originally
built and used as a synagogue by Congregation Ansche Chesed and opened in
1850.
Their website lists past and upcoming programs and shows how "effectively
they outreach to their diverse local communities".
I am in the process to finish a research paper about the complex history
and the Jewish aspect of recent activities, .......if you are interested
