The Banneker-Douglass Museum in Annapolis, Maryland (USA) is located in a
former African Methodist Episcopal church. Phone # 410-974-2893. I'm not
sure about the administrative structure, but I believe that the museum is
part of the state's Commission on Afro-American History and Culture, and is
administered by the Division of Historical & Cultural Programs/Dept of
Housing and Community Development (410-514-7600).

Subject: churches as museums
Does anyone know of a church sanctuary that has been converted for use as a
museum? I would be interested in learning of any such projects or hearing
any other suggestions regarding reference material for such a project.
Thank you.
