For accession and deaccession of collections, read Marie Malaro's Legal
Primer on Managing Museum Collections.
And for maintenance and all sorts of collections mgmt. goodies, The New
Museum Registration Methods.
There are scads of other books and pamphlets on these topics - just take a
look at the bibliography in these books.

Subject: Curator guides
I'm starting out in a museum career and although I have some experience in
working with a collection at a National Park I would like to further read up
on the subject. Focusing on topics such as maintenance of a collection,
annual cleaning and planning, how to organize the assecion and deassecion of
items and other general curatorial duties.
There must be some texts on the subject.
