Librarians- 3 Positions: Public Services and Visual Resources
The Morton R. Godine Library seeks three librarians to join the
professional staff in facilitating an organizational transition to a
team leadership environment. All librarian positions hold
responsibility for services development, collaborative decision
making, problem solving, policy/procedure writing, planning, staff
training and supervision. MassArt librarians participate in
collection development and in provision of reference services. These
are faculty, tenure-track positions.
Public Services Librarian A (Co-Coordinator of Public Services Team):
Coordinates access services including circulation, interlibrary
loans, reserves, and facility/stacks management. As Co-Coordinator,
this position is responsible for planning and implementing all public
service functions and is the primary back up for reference and
bibliographic instruction.
Public Services Librarian B (Co-Coordinator of Public Services Team):
Coordinates reference service, bibliographic instruction, and
computer lab operations. As Co-Coordinator, this position is
responsible for planning and implementing all public service
functions and is the primary back up for access services.
Visual Resources Librarian (Rotating Co-Coordinator of Auxiliary
Services Team): Coordinates slide library services including systems,
cataloging, reference, circulation, and development of slide and
digital image collections. As Co-Coordinator, this position is
responsible for collaborative planning and implementation in areas
related to Visual Resources, AV/Media Services, and Archives.
Required qualifications for the three positions: MLS or equivalent,
background in the visual arts (BFA, BA in Art Education or Art
History, and/or advanced arts related degree preferred), a minimum of
1-2 years of professional experience in key areas of responsibility.

filled. Salary commensurate with experience.
