A couple of points:

**** Skilled interviewers will avoid having too many questions that can be
answered with one word. Good questions draw information out of you and
expose you for who you really are. By all means take a moment to gather your
thoughts first, and don't ramble. Answer the question in reasonable time,
and then feel to ask if they want more information.
**** Scenario questions may be asked. A scenario is described, then you are
asked to describe how you responded to such a situation (e.g. an angry
visitor or co-worker, a broken artifact etc.) in the past or if you have not
faced such a situation, how might you deal with it. Don't worry if you do
not know the procedures for the museum you are applying for. They are often
looking for a logical and understanding thought process, and a willingness
to ask for help and/or consult staff policy and procedures manuals for
guidance.
**** They may want to find out if you are a prima donna or a team player.
