Regarding the comment, "I never apply for jobs with no salary range" - it seems to me that if you want to make money, you're in the wrong profession. You will never get rich working in a museum. Most of the time, you will make a livable wage, and that's it. The benefits come from the joy you take in coming to work each day, and being surrounded by beautiful works of art. You have to start somewhere - it's silly to think you will start at above the nationwide average for starting salaries. These, of course, are all points which have been made numerous times before. Get a copy of the AAMD Salary survey. The salaries listed there are "average", meaning most starting ones are a lot lower.

You should also be careful about the tone you take when dismissing job vacancies posted here - the participants of this list may be in a position to hire you some day.
