I agree with Claudia, I say establish a guideline regarding "late
arrivals", fax, mail or call these tour guide/drivers and let them know of
your new "policy".  Just because you are a non profit doesn't mean you're a
doormat.  Coming from a very tiny museum myself, who cannot wait sometimes
for 4 pm, I say welcome people in but with conditions.

I like the other comment on how we small museums relish new visitors and
groups, but, unlike our large staffed counterparts, we do not have the
luxury of leaving the museum when our day is over when large groups come
in, we stay to close up. Instead, we have to set our boundaries and try to
accomodate the late arrival as best as possible, while having a normal work
day.  We make it very clear to any group, especially the ones who just
"show up", that they must make a reservation before hand (at least a week)
and if not, they have to put up with the fact that we close.
