I also think it would be to your advantage to get them into your gift shop.
Perhaps you could offer some kind of incentive. At the very least continue
that "killer kindness" as you point out the shop and highlight one or two of
the more unique and popular items, which they will, of course, not want to
miss the opportunity to get.

Alternatively, you could try killing them with kindness. Make especially
sure the visitors from this tour company feel they have gotten a wonderful
experience. Apologize profusely that they have such limited time to see
your amazing exhibits and offer them a half-price coupon to return to the
Museum at another time. And (something one of my docents came up with when
visitors balked at our "suggested donation"), suggest that they give a
donation on their way out if they've enjoyed their visit.
