Hi Jennifer and others,

In my experience museum interviews are very similar to interviews in the business world. Tell me about a time that...... Where do you see yourself in 5, 10, 20 years..?..... With the one exception that there is a much bigger on teamwork experience and working with others of all different ages. For my position, my interviewers particularly wanted to know how I interact with volunteers across the generations.

As for looking for a job...I found that this list-serv along with the ASTC list-serv are the best resources for finding information about upcoming openings. In fact, I am happily in my new position at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science due to conversations through these lists. Thanks everyone!

Hope this helps some. If you want to ask more specific questions from someone who has just gone through the museum interview process feel free to e-mail me directly.

Warmest Regards,
Debra
