As a marketing person, you could: (1) write a case statement describing your
museum's contribution to the community (cultural, economic, educational,
etc.); (2) make opportunities to present the information in the case statement
with city government officials, chamber of commerce, service organizations,
etc., and make sure the museum's board of directors and other staff are aware
of the information and present it when appropriate; (3) help other museum
staff to develop exhibits and programming that will increase the museum's
visibility.
