putting it up on the web is a good idea, but will only
have utility if educators/teachers know its there.
what about doing a limited mailing of either the guide
or an announcement about the guide, to curriculum
specialists in the schools/districts that you are
targeting.  their job is to know about things like
this and spread the news!  also, don't be surprised if
teachers don't buy it for $5.  it might not sound like
much to charge, but teachers are stone poor and often
have to buy tons of supplies out of their own pockets
, which means that they may decide to economize by
forgoing on a guide.

 another suggestion is to use the guide as part of an
incentive program to get teachers and their classes to
use you as a field trip resource. for instance -- do
you have exhibitions that complement what is covered
by the curriculum requirements?  could teachers bring
in classes, get a tour with an educator and the guide
as a follow up piece?  its more work, but could
generate more traffic.
