Hi everyone-

I'm an exhibition designer in Washington, DC, and am about to embark into
the world of freelance design. I'm currently preparing my business plan and
marketing strategy. Which leads to my question: how do different museums
and institutions find designers to contract? Word of mouth is always the
best way, but I need to market myself efficiently and effectively in other
ways as well.

I'm also interested in hearing any other insights (good and bad) from the
client's perspective about working with exhibit designers.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Alison Field
