Bob,
        Ivan Turk (finder of the Neanderthal Flute) now has rebutted d'Errico's
arguments in an article submitted to Current Anthropology [D'Errico
argued that the Neanderthal Flute was made by taphonomic processes;
carnivore - originated] .  Hopefully it will be out this year.
        They have also found incised teeth and bones from earlier layers.
These could not have been incised by wear or animals.
        More details later as I have them.
