In once day, an American lady (Dr. Cecelia Levin) visited my lab seeing my works. You may ask her for confirming my information. There was also Dr. Wilhelmina H. Kal (chief of curators) from Tropen Museum of Netherlands. I think, they were so impressed for the demo. I work (for the National Museum of Indonesia) as a conservator and textile curator in charge, ICOM member and visiting conservator at the Textile Museum of Jakarta. I has computer knowledge (PCs and Macs) and softwares for word-processing, spread-sheets, relational-databases, publishing, multimedia and net-working. In my present post, I am managing the textile collections of National Museum of Indonesia. I am developing the inventorial works in special databases and has established the inventory system with textual data and multimedia running on PCs or Macintoshes. My classification and inventory system are directed toward research, conservation, exhibition, etc. My computer literacy = DOS/ Windows (NT/95), MacOS, WordStars, Lotus, Word Perfect, MS Words, MS Excel, MS Point, PageMaker, (Borland) dBase, Claris, Photoshop, Illustrator, FreeHand, FileMaker, 4th Dimension, Director, QuickTime, Premiere, Internet (Webpage design), etc. (I always monitor for the newest version of soft or hardwares) My working experiene includes conservation for cultural materials (textiles, paintings, metals, ethnographic objects, and most artistic & historic works); textile management (documentation-inventory-computerization); teachings and speakings on the mentioned fields above. I have educational background of biology (National Univeristy) and conservation sciences of Tokyo National Research Institute of Cultural Properties (TNRICP, Japan, 1989/90). I completed professional experience at the Conservation Analytical Laboratory of the Smithsonian Institution (CAL/SI, Washington D.C., 1991/ 92) and International Fabricare Institute (IFI, Maryland District, USA, 1992). I held 'Unesco Fellowship Awards' from 1989 to 1992, and took a great opportunity to visit the conservation laboratories at museums of New York City, Harrisburg and Washington D.C. (i.e. Conservation Centre of NYU, Metropolitan Museum of Arts, National Gallery, Textile Museum, etc.). I have ever demonstrated the para-red dyeing at Carnegie Mellon College of Maryland; and took part in the physical examination of color changing of (astronout) space-suits at Garber Facility, the National Air and Space Museum (NASA) at Washington D.C.
