Hello everyone,

On behalf of the entire team, I would like to warmly invite you to join us
this evening live from NYC via Zoom (7p ET / 4p PT) for our weekly free and
interactive tour.

#138 Considering Art: Considering Paradise - featuring urgent work by
Zandile Tshabalala.

Zandile Tshabalala <https://nagel-draxler.de/artist/zandile-tshabalala/> is
a Soweto born fine art painter who has recently graduated her BA(FINA)
degree at the University of the Witwatersrand, 2022. In her work she uses
acrylic to depict narratives around the inclusion of Black women within the
art canon and was primarily influenced by the lack of or displacement of
Black women within 19th century western art. Tshabalala is concerned with
this placement has she believes that the imagery that we consume has an
effect on how one views and thinks of oneself as well as how one is seen by
others.

In this tour, we embark on some close looking.

Together we ask: What do you see?
