Education Programs Intern

This position will work remotely for the duration of the internship and applicant must have reliable access to internet. Communication between Intern and NWHM Education staff will be conducted via telephone, email and video conferencing.

The National Women's History Museum is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and detail-oriented intern to assist with educational programming.


Key Responsibilities:

*         Assisting with developing educational programming for various audiences

  *   Assisting with program implementation, including supporting educators in leading virtual program activities
  *   Support development of resources for educational program planning
  *   Conducting research that supports program and audience development

Qualifications should include:

  *   Current or recent upper-level undergraduate student in Museum Studies, Education, History or a related field.

*         Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills as well as the ability to multitask.

o    Experience with historical content highly preferred.

  *   Ability to conduct verifiable online research

*         Experience using Microsoft suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

*         Must be motivated to work independently



The internship will run between September 15th and December 11th, 2020. Candidate must be able to work at least 20 hours per week for a total minimum of 200 work hours over the course of the internship.



Interns will receive a stipend of $1000.
