Cost: FREE, but pre-registration required at https://bit.ly/35i5Q6W

Date: October 9, 2019

Time: 3-4 pm Eastern (be sure to adjust for your time zone)

Assessment programs are like road maps. They move an organization forward to help board members, volunteers, and staff stay focused as they travel together to plan for progress and achieve their goals.

Organizations that can connect planning and fundraising to an assessment program gain credibility. Funders like to know that your proposed project is based upon recommendations from an assessment program, and that your organization’s progress can be measured.

StEPs is a self-paced assessment program developed for small- to mid-sized historical societies, museums, historic houses and related organizations; larger organizations may find it useful for prioritizing and as a refresher checklist or training tool.

Enrollment in StEPs is a one-time fee of $175 for institutional members of the American Association for State and Local History (AASLH). Institutional memberships begin at $98 and are based on an organization’s annual budget. More than 1,000 local history organizations are enrolled in StEPs.

Is your organization ready for StEPs? Join us on October 9 for a free, one-hour webinar to hear how StEPs can help your organization create a road map for meaningful change.
