Hi, I would definitely count the visitors at the entry gate so that you can get a total visitor count. I would also do individual building counts, so that you can see which are the most popular. Those with lower counts, maybe you can determine why they aren't as popular and figure out ways to make them more exciting. Besides total count, do you collect demographic data of your visitors?
Do you have an admission fee?

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Guest Tracking System for Historic Village

Hi,

I was wondering if I could get some feedback on how people are tracking visitors at an historic village? We currently have an entry gate for our parking lot, a visitor center that some, but not all guests come into, and several historic structures that visitors can go into, but they don't necessarily go into all.

My initial inclination is to include a gate counter and additionally, door counters on each building. Anyone out there using a particular company they've had success with?

Thanks!
Monica
