The link to museum property law in PA is referring to PHMC, not necessarily other museums in PA.

There is a museum property law in Pennsylvania but it is much narrower than the Washington state law. You can find it here:

The Association of Registrars and Collections Specialists (ARCS) maintains a list of abandoned property and old loan legislation on their website, available here under the heading "How-to Guides":

Hi folks,

Here's an odd one. It's particularly for anyone in Pennsylvania. We have the following law in Washington state. Does anyone know if there is such a thing in PA?

Washington State Law RCW 63.26.030, .040, and .050:
Property subject to a loan agreement which is on loan to a museum or historical society shall be deemed donated to the museum or society if no claim is made or action filed to recover the property after termination or expiration of the loan and if the museum or society has given notice and no assertion of title has been filed within ninety days from the date of the second published notice. When a museum or historical society is required to give notice of abandonment of property or of termination of a loan, the museum or historical society shall mail such notice by certified mail, return receipt requested, to the last known owner at the most recent address of such owner as shown on the museum’s or society’s records... etc.

Thanks,
Seth!
