The New Mexico Museum of Art (Santa Fe, NM) is seeking a Head of Registration and Collections to supervise the Collections and Registration department and represent them on the Director's Management Team. This position is the lead staff position for the management, security, and exhibition-related organizational tasks. The Head of Registration and Collections oversees the logistics and legal matters involved with the acquisition, loans in and out, and the display of works of art including those on display in the Governor's office and residence. This position also disseminates information as needed to other departments, researchers and students in relation to exhibitions and acquisitions; drafts collections policy and procedures; ensures online access to information about collections and acts as the collections auditor.

Main Job Duties:

Supervise the Collections Manager and Preparator and department projects.

Coordinate object movement and record keeping for exhibitions and loans.

Create and maintain legal documents on all collections objects.

Ensure broad access to collections

Monitor facilities for proper temperature, humidity, and pest control.

Contribute to organizational development of the Museum of Art.

 

Pay Band 75:

$19.46 - $33.85 Hourly

$40,473 - $70,411 Annually

This position is expected to hire at mid-point: $26.13 per hour / $54,355 annually
