The American sculptor John Adams Jackson (1825–1879) is the subject of an upcoming monographic exhibition and catalogue tentatively titled “John Adams Jackson (1825–1879): A Maine Sculptor in Italy and His American Patrons” at the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland, Maine. The Farnsworth is pleased to announce this project scheduled to coincide with the Maine Bicentennial in 2020. We are actively seeking original artwork by Jackson, as well as archival sources and other material (such as ephemera, replicas, genealogical research, etc.) on him.
