MPMA is now accepting proposals for the 2018 Current Research Paper Competition. This call invites proposals of 300 words maximum from students and emerging and established professionals on current research or work in progress on any matter relating to museums or heritage.

Authors of three winning proposals will present their research in the Current Research from the Field session at the 2018 MPMA Annual Conference in Billings, Montana, September 11-15.

This competition and the resulting session are a great way for professionals and students to present their research and work with their colleagues.

Eligibility requirements:

• Current professionals in the museum and heritage field; students and recent graduates of museum studies or related heritage, history, and preservation disciplines
• Applicants must work or study in cultural institutions that are located in the MPMA region: Colorado, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming
• Students who attend on-line programs must reside in the MPMA region

The deadline for proposals is April 27, 2018.
