Visitor Services Assistant
Temporary Position: 40 weeks

SUMMARY
The Visitor Services Assistant is focused on museum front desk operations, museum store retail operations, and museum visitor experience. The Visitor Services Assistant will
be required to work weekends and some evenings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Staffs the admission desk and museum store of the Dunn Museum;
responsible for greeting and providing general information to the public; handles financial transactions;
conducts monthly and year end inventories in the museum store; assists with product selection, purchasing, and arranging store displays; conducts visitor evaluations; assists with the planning
and staffing of special events, artist receptions and exhibit openings.
EXPERIENCE
One year experience in museum visitor services, including experience handling cash transactions, visitor engagement, merchandising, event planning, and conducting visitor evaluations.
Customer service and communication skills necessary to provide a positive experience for the public. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
