Dear Colleagues, The full program for the ICOM-CC 17th Triennial Conference in Melbourne, Australia, is now posted and can be viewed on the Conference website ( www.icom-cc2014.org) ICOM-CC is honoured to have the participation of ICOM President *Prof Dr Hans-Martin Hinz *in the Opening Session Plenary and as a speaker at the conference cultural event focussing on Australian Aboriginal culture. Among the highlights of conference week will be Opening Session Keynote speaker *Lyndel V. Prott,* distinguished leader in the development of Cultural Heritage Law. The Keynote will also include two distinguished professionals from China, *Professor Ma Xiaolin*, Deputy Director, Henan Provincial Administration of Cultural Heritage and *Dr Shao Anding*, Vice-head of the Conservation Department, Shaanxi Province Institute of Archaeology. A mid-week Plenary will focus on presentations and open discussions on *Conservation, Communities and Risk*, chaired by Vinod Daniel, Vice Chair ICOM-CC, with speakers *Father Milan Ted D. Torralba*, heritage advocate and canon lawyer, Philippines, *Jeremy Barns*, Director of the National Museum, Philippines, and *Dr **Jane Harrington*, Director, Conservation & Infrastructure with the Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority. *Dr Nobuyuki Kamba*, Head of Conservation at the Tokyo National Museum will present his contribution 'Stabilisation processing of cultural assets damaged by the tsunami of 11 March 2011'. The morning session will conclude with a panel discussion and open forum addressing *Environmental standards for exhibition and storage in museums, *which will review how environmental conditions in museums in the light of sustainability and cost of energy pressures has resulted in members of the conservation profession holding differing views on what can safely be implemented. ICOM-CC in conjunction with IIC has established a working group to investigate the current global perspective on environmental conditions in museums on a country-by-country basis, to identify a methodology by which a fresh and relevant review of these current positions can lead to practical outcomes, and to encourage dialogue with the broader museum profession. Panel participants includes *Sarah Staniforth*, President IIC (UK), *Julian Bickersteth*, Vice President IIC (Australia), *Luiz Souza*, Conservation Scientist and Professor at Federal University of Minas Gerais (Brazil) and *Vinod Daniel*, CEO IndHeritage (Australia/India) and ICOM-CC Vice Chair. Completing the week is the prestigious ICOM-CC Triennial Lecture, given by* Dr Ian D. MacLeod*, Executive Director, Collections Management and Conservation, Western Australian Museum (Australia).
