Rachel Cockett has good points;
- ensuring active membership is among other things about being able to
communicate activities,continueously updated information and providing
spaces for communication and discussions (as this discussion proves), not
so much about grants to travel. To encourage attendance, creating meetings
with crossprofessional/"cultural" themes and marketing them well may prove
fruitful. The new ICOM web site may provide all this.
- committee membership services and communication need to be improved
(point taken!)
- "Youth/young" is defined as 15- max 25. But there are also the
computerfriendly young at heart/brain.
- Student membership is a good thing, but there are so many cathegories
that lack financial means to travel internationally. It is a complicated
issue.
