NEDCC's staff members work toward the common goal of providing a superior client experience through its preservation and conservation services, which include book conservation, paper and photograph conservation, digital imaging, and digital audio reformatting, as well as training, assessments, consultations, and web resources.

POSITION:  Associate Paper Conservator -    

NEDCC invites applicants for the position of Associate Paper Conservator. The individual will join the nine-member staff of the Paper and Photograph Conservation Department. The opening is a full-time position in NEDCC's conservation laboratory located in Andover, Massachusetts.   Responsibilities: The Associate Paper Conservator will be responsible for the treatment of a wide variety of paper-based artifacts that not only include works of fine art but also archival documents and oversize materials such as period posters and historic wallpaper.   

Qualifications: A Master's degree from a recognized conservation program and a minimum of 5 years postgraduate experience treating works on paper is required.

POSITION: Asian Painting Conservator    - 

NEDCC invites applicants for the position of Conservator of Asian Paintings. NEDCC and Nishio Conservation Studio work together to meet the needs of collections holding institutions that do not have in-house access to Asian paintings conservation services. See www.nedcc.org/asian-art. The opening is a full-time position in NEDCC's conservation laboratory located in Andover, Massachusetts.   Responsibilities: The conservator will be responsible for the conservation treatment and remounting of Japanese and Chinese scrolls and screen paintings, the treatment of Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock prints, and a wide variety of additional artifacts.    

Qualifications:  A Master's degree from a recognized conservation program or a minimum of nine years equivalent professional training and experience treating Asian paintings. The candidate must be qualified to work in the USA and be proficient in the English language, both written and spoken.
