Morning Sarah,

We're a county entity as well and have had live music in our institution for years. If you want to shoot me an email or give me a call, I'd be more than happy to chat with you about it.

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Live Music Policy

Good Morning Listservers!

I'm writing to ask if any of you have policies for live music at your museums. We recently were approached by a group of three ukelele players who asked if they could play in our event room during open hours. We excitedly said yes then later decided we needed to hold off as we've never done this before and being a department of the county we decided we needed a policy in place. I'm not in favor of over complicating things but I can see how a policy may be helpful in the future and for determining what kind of music gets played in our museum.

Thank you in advance for your thoughtful replies!

Best,

Sarah Baylinson
