This is wonderful.   I gladly second the motion. 
 
We must do a better job of honouring those who have worked so hard for ICOM.

Dear colleagues,

I deeply share the point of view that Piet Pouw should be named as 
Honorary Member of ICOM. During my relations with the organization, 
since the Leiden convention in 1989 precisely, I had many occasions 
to measure his sense of loyality and his enthusiastic will to be part 
of a professional  organization. These last years, he has sacrificied 
the quietness of his family life to give a great hand and by this, he 
has proved his strong and exceptional commitment to ICOM.
