Dear ICOM members

We are happy to announce that the ICME web site has been 
updated with both tentative schedule, registration forms 
and conference fee information for the 2006 ICOM-ICME 
Annual Conference "CONNECTIONS, COMMUNITIES AND 
COLLECTIONS" in Miami Beach, Florida, on July 10-12, 2006:

We would like to see as many ICOM members as possible 
attending this year's conference, and are therefore 
offering an 'Early Bird' discount on all registration 
payments made before March 30th, as well as reduced 
conference fees for students and participants from 
economically disadvantaged countries.

ICME offers an optional three-day post-conference tour 
after the conference. We need to have at least 20 
participants in order to arrange this tour. If you plan on 
joining us, please let us know as early as possible at

We would also like to remind you that paper proposals on 
the conference theme are being accepted until March 15th. 
The call for papers is available on the ICME web site, and 
registration forms include space for abstracts and 
technical needs.

Any ICOM members requiring letters of invitation to use in 
either funding- or visa applications are welcome to 
contact myself, or ICME secretary Annette Fromm at
