The General Assembly of ICOM, has elected the following, Friday 16
October:


President:Jacques Perot (France) (284 votes)

(not elected: Marta de la Torre, USA - 237 votes)


Vice-Presidents: Bernice Murphy (Australia) & Yani Herreman (Mexico)


Treasurer:Piet Puow (Netherlands)


Five Members of the Executive Council:

        Shaiji Tshila (Dem. Rep. of Congo - ex Zaire)

        Monica Garrido (Argentina)

        Michel Cote (Canada)

        Lucia Astudillo (Equador)

        Martin Schaerer (Switzerland)

(There was an equality of votes for the fifth place on the Executive
betweenMartin Schaerer and Camil.la Gonzalez (Spain) and the fifth place was
determined by lot in accordance with the Statutes of ICOM.)

Allisandra Cummings, elected President of the Edvisory Committee a week
ago, is ex officio a member of the Execvitive Council also.
