Call for contributions to
Newsletter of the Austrian National Committee of ICOM


Dear Colleagues,

we have the pleasure to furnish you with the ‘0’-issue of the Newsletter of the

Austrian National Committee of the International Council of Museums (by
snail-mail).
This Newsletter is a means of communication for and amongst the Austrian
members, but also informs on the international ICOM-scene  (see contribution by

Martin Schärer, pp 2-4; calendar of events, pp 10-11) and is meant to provide
space
for presentations of topical questions, as well as for closer contacts with the
different
committees. For this short articles in French and English are invited. The
Newsletter
is to be produced 4 times per year, most probably in Vienna.
To begin with, a series featuring the international committees is planned. As
we do
hope to be able to get your support in this, we would like to urge the chairs
of the
international committees to respond to this call for contributions. We would
need
your contributions with a length of approxemately 1000 to 1500 words, with
illustrations (copyrighted and appropriately identified), as hard copy (by
snail mail)
and additionally by E-mail (seems best means of communication, also for any
other
contacts).
In case a contribution on your committe could be furnished for the next issues,
it
would be highly appreciated if you could contact Hadwig Kräutler by March 8th
(deadlines for receipt of data for issue Nr 1 is April 4; for issue Nr. 2: June
9th).
Comments as well as announcements of professional meetings, publications and
papers are of interest.
