Alissandra Cummins, president of ICOM, and ICOM’s Secretariat wish to
congratulate the Museum of Byzantine Culture, of Thessalonica, Greece, for
having been awarded the 2005 Council of Europe Museum Prize .

Our institutional member was especially “…appreciated for its institutional
excellence and for the balance between conservation, restoration, and
presentation”.

This award pays tribute to  the sensitivity and professionalism of the
Museum of Byzantine Culture’s director, Dr. Anastasia Tourta, and of her
entire staff.

Notre membre institutionnel a été spécialement distingué pour " ...l’
excellence du musée et l’équilibre qu’on y constate entre conservation,

Ce Prix a été décerné pour récompenser la sensibilité et le professionalisme
de la directrice du Musée de la Culture byzantine, Dr. Anastasia Tourta et
de l'ensemble du personnel du musée.
