ICME will hold its 1999 Meeting in the Museo Nacional de
Antropologia in Mexico City, 27, 28 and 29 October. The selected
theme is "Ethnographic Museums in multicultural countries"
which has interested a considerable number of ICOM members and
non-members.

The morning sessions will be complemented with museum and
collection visits in the afternoons as well as with two post
conference tours. The Teotihuacan pyramids is the first and the
"Day of the Dead" ceremony in the state of Michoacan is the second.

The Organizing Committee headed by Yani Herreman and Per Rekdal
is hoping the meeting, the first held in Latin America, turns
out a success.
