        THIS IS TO ANNOUNCE THE LAUNCHING OF Virtual "IT"

VIRTUAL "IT" is an electronic version of the newsletter, "International
Training", published by the ICOM (International Council of Museums)
International Committee for the Training of Personnel.  "Virtual It"
contains excerpted articles and Discussion from the printed original
"IT" published on behalf of the Committee by the Smithsonian Institution,
Washington (editor Jane Glaser).  "Virtual It" is maintained on a Web Site
server located at the Laboratory for Extended Media at the Fine Arts
Faculty, University of Victoria, Victoria, B.C., Canada. VIRTUAL "IT"
comprises part of the general information ICOM/ICTOP site; the direct
locator URL is:

        Check the site regularly for updates and appended information.
