Dear ICOM and AVICOM members,

AVICOM Annual Conference will take place in Milan, Italy, in conjunction
with ICOM’s General Conference on July 3-9, 2016. AVICOM members and all
interested persons are kindly invited to participate. This year AVICOM
program consists of four sessions.


Monday, 4th July 2016, 14:00 - 18:00

FIRST SESSION - HISTORY OF MULTIMEDIA IN MUSEUMS

25th years of AVICOM Activity: In the same year of the 70th anniversary of
ICOM,  AVICOM committee celebrates its 25 years of activity.

Chair of session: Janos Tari

14:00 - 15:00 : Marco Tonon, founder of AVICOM in 1991, guides us in an
excursus on the experiments in technology for museums.

15:00 - 16:00 : János Tari, president, changing the technological
interpretation of cultural heritage in museums,  pilot study result of
winners 2000 and 2015 F@imp festivals in Budapest

16:00 - 17:00 : AVICOM Video presentation IMAGES from AVICOM/F@imp 25 years
in 65mn

To present experiences in this session, participants must submit case
studies that will document acknowledged innovative experiences in museum
from 1991 to 2015.

SECOND SESSION - TECHNOLOGICAL CULTURAL LANDSCAPES

According to the topic of ICOM General Conference of Milan 2016, all AVICOM
members are invited to present some experiences that involve technology in
the relation between Museums and Landscapes. Authors may refer to the Siena
Chart.

Papers can present projects that exhibit or enhances the relationship
between museum and landscapes, for instance projects that use technology
to:
- interpret, construct, diffuse, promote heritage in the territory
- enhance the protection, safeguard, conserve, restore, recreate, regulate,
transform, monitor landscapes that surround museums

Visualisation.

11:45 - 12:30 Gábor TATAI "Agile  Museums?  Yes!" - Gábor Tatai, director,
Hospital in the Rock Nuclear Bunker Museum, Hungary

A lecture on how Agile IT projects catalyze the museums to transform
rapidly and thus influence their positive change of management and
organizational culture.

THIRD SESSION - INTERNET FESTIVAL OF MUSEUM MULTIMEDIA “MEDIA GEEK :
CULTURAL HERITAGE”

Chair of session : Natalia Tolsataya

This year AVICOM starts the new project - First International Internet
Festival of museum multimedia “Media Geek: cultural heritage”. A
presentation of the “Media Geek : cultural heritage” project, evaluation of
the two seasons of the festival in Russia and presentation of the Media
Geek Hungary will be held. AVICOM members and those who are interested in
participating in the festival and all interested persons are kindly invited
to take part in the session.

Submission process:

Abstracts have to be written in English and should be submitted for

Text: maximum 300 words

Images: up to 3 images are allowed for a maximum total of 3MB

Contributions :

Abstracts will be reviewed and authors contacted by the 1st May 2016. Full
papers have to be presented due to 15th June 2015. Language of this session
will be French and English.

Accepted abstract will be published on the AVICOM website.

The following information should be included with the abstract:
• Title of submitted paper
• Name(s) of author(s)
• Professional background
• Keywords
