Thanks to a grant from the French Embassy in Vanuatu, the Pacific Islands
Museums Association (PIMA) is able to employ an Assistant Secretary General
for the next 2 years. PIMA regrets that it does not have sufficient funds to
financially support international relocation of the successful applicant.

The Pacific Islands Museums Association (PIMA) is recruiting an Assistant
Secretary General for a duration of 2 years to manage the day-to-day
administration of the PIMA Secretariat and to administer the May 2008
Oceanic Art Symposium. 
PIMA is a regional, multilingual, multi-cultural, non-profit organisation
consisting of museums professionals working together.
The applicant must have a minimum secondary qualification of Year 13
(equivalent to International Baccalaureate or A Levels) 
Work or voluntary experience in the fields of administration or culture in
highly desirable.  
Applicants should possess a good level of English, French and Bislama. 
Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience. Salary range 35,000 –
55,000VT (Vanuatu Vatu currency) per month plus housing allowance.

L’Association des Musées des îles du Pacifique (AMIP / PIMA) recrute un
Secrétaire Général adjoint pour une durée de 2 ans. Il devra organiser la
réussite, en mai 2008, de l’organisation des « Assises des Arts d’Océanie »
et gérer l’administration quotidienne du Secrétariat de l’AMIP.
L’AMIP est une organisation régionale, multilingue, multi culturelle à but
non lucratif qui rassemble musées et professionnels. 
Le candidat doit au minimum avoir obtenu le diplôme de fin d’études
secondaires (13e année) ou le Baccalauréat.
Une expérience de travail dans le domaine de l’administration ou de la
culture est souhaitée.
Les candidats doivent posséder un bon niveau en anglais, français et
bichlamar. 
Salaire, en fonction des qualifications et de l’expérience, entre 35.000 et
55.000VT par mois, plus indemnité de logement.
