A quick reaction- I did get the same when amp had a meeeting in Sweden last year- I just through them away, but if you would like to send some to me, I can tell you if they are the same.
In the case of Samp we have our own persons in Nigeria so in some cases where I was not sure I just asked them for a check and everything was just to ignore.

In connection with the forthcoming ICME conference in Romania, we have received some registrations from different parts of Africa, but particularly Nigeria, where we have not succeded in confirming the identity of the person/institution/organization. They do not ask for money, but seem to want an answer confirming their conference registration or a letter of invitation. Both can of course be used to secure a visa to a European country.
 
I suspect this is a new variant from the Nigerian swindlers we know too well. This suspicion was strengthened when I searched on the internet on the name of one of the institutions and found no web page connected to it, but two persons allegedly coming from that institution registered as participants at an international conference.
 
Do any one of you have similar experiences or know something more about this?
